urban agriculture

Through a partnership with Fresh Coast Capital and the City of Peoria, our aim is to improve the food system while creating attractive and viable communities requiring intentional economic strategies aimed at the promotion of healthy community living through green stormwater infrastructure installations.  We address the needs described above by promoting the growth of the small urban farming community, coordinating resources within an improved food system while enhancing economic opportunities in the food and agricultural fields.

What is the Urban Ag Apprenticeship Program?

good Food Recovery Tazewell County

The goal of the Good Food Recovery is to improve the availability of healthy food alternatives to food banks, food pantries and kitchens through donated fresh vegetables, fruit and prepared meals.  Recovering unsold, surplus food is easy with Good Food Recovery’s Web application called ChowMatch, which will match food donations with hunger relief organizations and volunteer food runners for transportation.
